This epic Texas Style Brisket will be a hit for any event. With garlic, chili, chipotle and a hint of smoke, this will become your favorite recteq recipe.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Trim fat to about a quarter inch, then inject brisket with beef broth.
  • Step 2: Rub brisket liberally with vegetable oil.
  • Step 3: Mix all ingredients for rub in a bowl.
  • Step 4: Apply an even coat of the rub all over and wrap with foil.
  • Step 5: Let sit in the fridge overnight.
  • Step 6: Remove foil.
  • Step 7: Preheat recteq to 225ºF.
  • Step 8: Place brisket fat side down on the grill.
  • Step 9: Cook until an internal temperature of 203°F is reached.
  • Step 10: Once done, wrap in foil and let rest for about 45-60 minutes.
  • Step 11: Slice across the grain in 1/4 inch slices.
