Here's our spin on an American classic using Ben's Heffer Dust and steak sauce to kick up your burger game. With a molten, cheesy center and a seasoned crust on the outside, this is going to be your go-to method for a great burger.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat recteq to 500°F+ with Sear Kit on the right side of the grill.
  • Step 2: Mix the ground beef with eggs, Ben's Heffer Dust, steak sauce, and onion and combine well.
  • Step 3: Form the beef into 4 ounce patties, and top half of the patties with your favorite sliced cheese, leaving about 1/2 inch on the outside perimeter.
  • Step 4: Top with the second patty and press down to ensure there is no trapped air, then crimp the sides tightly to ensure a tight seal so that the cheese does not leak out.
  • Step 5: Season each burger with Ben's Heffer Dust.
  • Step 6: Cook the patties on the Sear Kit for 4-6 minutes a side.
  • Step 7: Remove from recteq and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
