Cook Time: 3 hrs

Difficulty: Beginner

Your new favorite way to make jerky is low and slow on your recteq wood fired grill!

Instructions

  • Step 1: Burning the recteq Ultimate Blend Pellets set your recteq to LO(180°F).
  • Step 2: Add all seasoning to mixing bowl, mix well and set aside.
  • Step 3: Slice eye of round against the grain of the meat, slicing super thin slices. Once all meat is sliced, add it to mixing bowl and toss well until all ingredients are well incorporated. Let meat rest for at least an hour in marinade.
  • Step 4: Remove sliced meat and place it on the Mesh Cooking Mats, place the Mesh Cooking Mats inside the recteq. Thickness of the meat slices will determine how long it takes to be fully dehydrated.
  • Step 5: Check jerky every 45 minutes, removing pieces of jerky as they finish. Let jerky rest for 10 minutes before serving.
