I’ve always struggled to get the cross pattern grill marks when using standard grates on a pellet grill. First cook on the 1100, with the sear kit and I got professional marks. Pic attached.

The sear kit is a game changer for pellet grill users. These allowed me to consolidate all my outdoor cooking appliance into just using the Recteq pellet grill. They get super hot which helps get a good sear, along with adding beautiful grill marks. I have seared (and reverse seared) so much, along with making smash burgers and kebabs.
