This cheesy onion casserole features thick-cut, seasoned onion rings slow-baked until tender, then finished with melted cheese, buttery panko, and a golden, crispy top.
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat recteq to 400℉.
- Step 2: Slice the onion in 1/2 inch rings, separate the rings in a large mixing bowl and toss with seasonings.
- Step 3: Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish, add the seasoned onions to the baking dish, add to the recteq and cook for 30 minutes.
- Step 4: Top the casserole with the cheese and pats of butter and cook for another 25 minutes.
- Step 5: Top with the buttered Panko and cook until everything is golden brown; about 5 more minutes.
