When you just can't choose, Smoked Pumpkin Pecan Pie combines two of your favorite holiday tastes into one delicious dessert. You'll love this delicious smoky combo straight from the recteq.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat recteq to 425°F. Dust your cutting board with flour and roll out the pie dough with a rolling pin until it is 2 inch longer than the pie pan. Place dough into pie pan and crimp edges. Place in refrigerator.
  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl add: eggs, sugar, flour, Pumpkin Pie Spice, salt and MeMe's Apple Pie Rub. Mix until there are no lumps.
  • Step 3: Mix in pumpkin until well combined, add milk slowly. Once everything is well combined, pour mixture into pie shell and place in recteq.
  • Step 4: Bake for 15 minutes, reduce temp to 350°F and bake for another 15 minutes.
  • Step 5: While pie is baking, get a large mixing bowl and add eggs and beat with a whisk until frothy, then add corn syrup, brown sugar, molasses, flour, vanilla, and salt. Mix well until everything is combined. Pour over pies after the second 15 minute cook.
  • Step 6: Add chopped pecans to top of filling and then cover with pecan halves. Place back into recteq and bake for 30-35 minutes or until set. Remove from recteq and cool on wire racks. Serve at room temp.
