Cook Time: 1 hrs

Difficulty: Beginner

Georgia Blueberry Peach Cobbler is a southern-style dessert just like grandma used to make (but maybe a smidge better with our special recteq magic). Everyone will ask you what your secret is when they get a taste of this dessert!

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat recteq to 350°F with a 12 inch cast iron skillet.
  • Step 2: For the filling, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and blueberries in the cast iron skillet and allow to cook until the sugar is melted. Remove filling from the pan.
  • Step 3: Melt the butter in the cast iron skillet.
  • Step 4: In a medium sized bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the milk and stir until the batter is incorporated. Add the batter to the cast iron skillet.
  • Step 5: Pour the fruit filling onto the batter, do not stir; the cobbler crust will form around the fruit filling.
  • Step 6: Cook for 45 minutes until cobbler is golden brown.
