This Boo-Berry Cobbler is a warm, buttery dessert baked on the recteq, featuring sweet, smoky blueberries nestled in a golden, tender batter, perfect served with ice cream or whipped cream.
Instructions
- Step 1: Start the recteq and set to 350ºF.
 - Step 2: In a 9x13 baking dish, add 1/2 cup butter and place in the recteq until the butter is melted.
 - Step 3: In a small mixing bowl, add the blueberries and sugar, crush 3 or 4 of the blueberries and return to the bowl, and toss until the sugar starts to stick to the berries. Set aside.
 - Step 4: In a large recteq mixing bowl add the flour, baking powder, and salt then mix well. Cut the remaining 5 tablespoons of butter into the flour (like a biscuit dough). Stir the 2 cups of sugar into the flour, butter mixture, and stir. Next pour the half & half into the mixture and fold together gently, being careful not to over mix.
 - Step 5: In the 9x13 pan, pour the batter over the top of the melted butter. Sprinkle the blueberries evenly over the top of the batter, sprinkling any remaining sugar over the top.
 - Step 6: Place the cobbler in the smoker and set a timer for 30 minutes. The cobbler will be done when it's a golden brown on top and it's bubbling. This should take 30-45 minutes. When it's finished, pull the Cobbler out of the smoker and set on the stove to cool.
