Instructions
- Step 1: Using the recteq Apple Pellets, preheat your recteq to 350°F and allow it to come up to temp. Spray the Bundt pan with non-stick spray.
- Step 2: In the mixing bowl, add shortening and sugar and whisk hard until well combined. Then add eggs and milk and mix until fully incorporated. In a separate bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients.
- Step 3: Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredient and fold with a spatula until well combined. Fold in pecans and apples.
- Step 4: Pour batter into prepared Bundt pan and place inside recteq. Bake for 50-60 minutes. Insert toothpick into center of cake, if it comes out clean, the cake is done.
- Step 5: Remove cake from recteq and allow to rest for 30-40 minutes then flip onto cooling rack and allow to cool completely.
- Step 6: In a small sauce pan, mix brown sugar, recteq Apple Cinnamon BBQ Sauce and lemon juice until well combined. Place in recteq and heat to a simmer, then pour over fully-cooled cake. Let glaze set before slicing and serving.
