Delicious and indulgent, this Stuffed Focaccia Bread makes the perfect appetizer for your next recteq spread.
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl add the warm water, yeast, Colden's Freakin' Greek and Olive oil. Allow the yeast to bloom for 2-3 minutes.
- Step 2: Add the flour, mixing with a large fork for 2-3 minutes, then knead by hand for 8 minutes until a nice dough ball forms. Add a bit more olive oil and cover with plastic. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place until double in size, about 1 hour.
- Step 3: Preheat recteq pizza oven to 375ºF.
- Step 4: Portion the dough into 2 small sheet trays. Using your fingertips, press the dough into an even flat layer.
- Step 5: Spread the garlic along one half of the dough followed by the prosciutto, basil, oil and ricotta cheese.
- Step 6: Pull the dough over itself and careful press with your fingertips to smooth and neaten the dough back into the small sheet tray.
- Step 7: Top with a bit more olive oil and a sprinkle of Colden's Freakin' Greek Rub.
- Step 8: Bake in the pizza oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and delicious.
