Jody's Cheesy Bacon Beer Bread is the perfect side; pair it up with soup or chili for a cool-weather comfort combo. A little spicy, a little cheesy, and that hint of your favorite beer makes this the best crowd-pleaser to share.

  • 3 cup(s) Flour
  • 3 tablespoon(s) Baking Powder
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Ben's Heffer Dust
  • 1 tablespoon(s) Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Garlic Powder
  • 12 ounce(s) Beer, room temp
  • 1 each Large Egg(s)
  • 8 ounce(s) Cream Cheese, softened
  • 10 each Strips of Bacon, cooked & chopped
  • 2 each Jalapeños, chopped
  • 1 1/4 cup(s) Cheddar, shredded

  • Step 1: Preheat recteq to 375°F.
  • Step 2: Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and spray with non-stick spray; set aside.
  • Step 3: In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, 1 tablespoon Heffer Dust, sugar, and garlic powder. In a medium bowl, mix the beer and egg, then add to dry ingredients.
  • Step 4: Work mixture with your hands until your dough is together and sticky.
  • Step 5: In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, bacon, jalapeños, and cheddar.
  • Step 6: Season with Ben's Heffer Dust, and stir together until completely combined.
  • Step 7: Fold cream cheese mixture into dough, being careful not to overwork the mixture, but ensure that it's fully incorporated so you don't get any raw pockets.
  • Step 8: Pour dough into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Step 9: Sprinkle the top with cheddar, bacon, and jalapeños.
  • Step 10: Bake in recteq for 1 hour.
  • Step 11: Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
