Mongolian Beef
Ingredients:
- 2lbs. flank steak
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 2oz ginger, minced
Marinade:
- 2oz ginger, minced
- 2oz soy sauce
Sauce:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 cups green onion, sliced
Instructions:
- Slice flank steak very thinly across the grain (1/4" strips).
- Prepare the marinade of ginger and soy sauce, toss with the flank steak in a large bowl and allow to marinate for 2-4 hours.
- Pre-heat Matador over high heat, add the sunflower oil, and sear the beef for 2-3 minutes.
- Add 2oz of ginger and cook for 1 minute.
- To create the sauce add the green onion, brown sugar, and soy sauce and allow to cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
