Pumpkin makes everything better and this recipe will be a "smash" hit!

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare brining liquid by combining 7 oz of pumpkin puree and 24 oz of pumpkin flavored beer. We used “Southern Tier Pumpkin Imperial Pumpkin Ale”. Add pumpkin brine to brining container or zip top bag.
  • Step 2: Cut ribs into individual bones and add to container. Refrigerate 3-6 hours.
  • Step 3: Burning the recteq apple pellets, preheat recteq to 400ºF Remove ribs from brine and pat dry with paper towel.
  • Step 4: Combine Rossarooski’s Honey Rib Rub, Jody's Asian Persuasion Rub, and pumpkin spice seasoning. Season ribs evenly on all sides with seasoning and lay evenly on recteq Mesh Cooking Mat. Place in recteq and cook 20 minutes.
  • Step 5: To prep pumpkin spiced BBQ sauce, combine in a sauce pot: Harry's Secret Sweet Sauce, Stevie's Habanero Honey, 8 oz pumpkin puree, 1 tbsp Rossarooski’s Honey Rib Rub, and 1 tbsp Jody's Asian Persuasion Rub.
  • Step 6: Place pot in recteq and allow to simmer. Remove from recteq.
  • Step 7: Spritz ribs with Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey after 20 minutes of cook time and continue cooking. Spritz once more in 20 minutes.
  • Step 8: After 50 minutes of cook time, brush sauce on ribs and cook an additional 5-10 minutes. Remove and let rest 5-10 minutes before enjoying!
