Mediterranean Lamb Burger

Ingredients:

  • 2lbs. ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup red onion, minced
  • 1/4 cup Kalamata olives, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 2 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs

Tzatziki:

  • 32oz Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup European cucumber, grated
  • 2 tbsp dill, chopped
  • 2 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Durty Gurl Bloody Mary Rub
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions:

  • Pre-heat recteq to 425℉ with a sear kit.
  • Combine all the ingredients for the burger, mixing well.
  • Shape into 6oz patties then place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes prior to searing.
  • Sear on each side for 4-5 minutes until an internal of 145℉.
  • Combine all ingredients for Tzatziki and let rest in the fridge for 15-20 minutes before serving.
  • To build the burger, add to a toasted pita bun and top with the tzatziki sauce.
