For a Southern Style side your crowd will love, grill up a batch of recteq's Smoked Black-Eyed Peas for the recteq wood pellet grill!

Instructions

  • Step 1: Place a large stock pot on to the recteq at 400°F.
  • Step 2: Saute onions in stock pot until translucent (about 6-8 minutes).
  • Step 3: Add bacon and garlic and saute for 15 minutes, letting the bacon fat render.
  • Step 4: Add water (stock is fine for replacement), black-eyed peas, and Ben's Heffer Dust. Allow to cook for 60 minutes.
