Cook Time: 6 hrs

Difficulty: Beginner

Anyway you serve it up: on rolls, with rice, or even cheesy potatoes, this Pulled Ham is the perfect simple holiday entree.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Burning the recteq Cherry pellets, preheat recteq to 225°F.
  • Step 2: Evenly coat the ham with the Holiday Celebrations Pork Rub and place the ham directly on the grates.
  • Step 3: Smoke for 4-6 hours, spritzing with apple juice every hour to keep the ham moist and enhance flavor. The internal temperature should reach 190°F to ensure shreddable tenderness.
  • Step 4: While the ham smokes, combine the glaze ingredients in a saucepan. Place in recteq and cook until slightly thickened.
  • Step 5: During the final hour of smoking, brush the ham with the glaze every 15 minutes for a glossy, flavorful crust.
  • Step 6: Once the ham reaches the desired temperature 190°F, remove it from the grill and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
