There's nothing more delicious than fresh baked Apple Cake, but when it's cooked on the recteq and topped with Caramel Glaze, it's better than ever.

Ingredients

Cake

  • 3 each Eggs
  • 2 cup(s) Sugar
  • 1 cup(s) Oil
  • 3 cup(s) All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) Salt
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Baking Soda
  • 2 teaspoon(s) Cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon(s) Vanilla Extract
  • 3 cup(s) Apples, chopped fine
  • 1 cup(s) Pecans, chopped fine

Glaze

  • 8 teaspoon(s) Butter
  • 1 cup(s) Brown Sugar
  • 4 ounce(s) Evaporated Milk

Tools Needed

  • Bundt Cake Pan
  • Non-stick Spray
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Sauce Pan
  • Step 1: Preheat the recteq to 350°F.
  • Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugar with a whisk until fluffy. Add the oil and mix well.
  • Step 3: In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the egg mixture.
  • Step 4: Add the vanilla extract, apples, and pecans to the cake batter. The mixture will be very dense but do not add any additional liquid.
  • Step 5: Spray a bundt pan with non-stick spray and add the cake mixture to the pan.
  • Step 6: Cook for about 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Flip the cake out on a large plate.
  • Step 7: To prepare the glaze, add all ingredients to a small sauce pan, bring to a simmer and allow to cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 8: Poke a few holes in the cake and slowly pour glaze over the top.
