Tri-tip jerky day!!
Here is my round 2 submission to the Tales To The Pit Cook-off from stevensmoked. This round we had to include a knife and theme it around something spooky. I smoked a beef heart on my dad's recteq_official. Then smoked veggies and made black pasta with squid. The knife is a slicer from sovereignbbq all hand-made in the US. I was so happy to be using the upgrate.chefboard for this. It kept the pasta warm as the meat was finishing. Then just flipped it over to use for the meat and sides. First time smoking brisket was a success! Slow cooked it at 185 degrees for 13 hours and then let it rest for 2 hours in the cooler wrapped up in butcher paper. Training for the holidays and client appreciation cookouts! Stay tuned :D
