Here's a meal that will impress guests of all ages! The smoky flavor is on point and the shape will bring the entertainment factor, big time.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Burning the recteq Texas Blend pellets, preheat your recteq to 325°F and allow it to come up to temp. In a large mixing bowl, add onions, Chef Greg's 4 Letter Rub, Ben's Heffer Dust, and eggs and mix until well combined.
  • Step 2: Add ground beef to mixture and, with gloved hands, mix well until everything is well combined. Ground beef mixture should be loose. Slowly add bread crumbs, mixing them in with your hands until mixture has tightened up.
  • Step 3: Shape the meat mixture into a football shape and place it on the Mesh Cooking Mat. Shape meat mixture into a foot shape and place on the recteq.
  • Step 4: Cook to an internal temp of 145°F, then start basting the loaf with recteq Rodeo Sauce, letting it reach an internal temp of 155°F before removing it. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
