Who needs an oven when you can cook just about anything on your recteq? Here we have a fan favorite - mouthwatering Molten Chocolate Lava Cake.

  • 8 ounces(s) Butter
  • 4 teaspoon(s) Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) Cinnamon, ground
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped coarse
  • 1 cup(s) All Purpose Flour
  • 2 1/2 cup(s) Confectioners Sugar
  • 6 each Whole Eggs
  • 6 each Egg Yolks
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) Vanilla Extract

Tools Needed

  • 4 ounce Baking Ramekins
  • Stainless Steel Bowl
  • Step 1: Preheat recteq to 400°F.
  • Step 2: Using the butter wrappers, rub the inside of the ramekins. Then, sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon sugar into each ramekin. Roll the sugar around to evenly coat the sides of the ramekins.
  • Step 3: Add the chopped chocolate to a stainless bowl. Put on the recteq for 3-4 minutes until the chocolate is melted.
  • Step 4: Whisk the remaining ingredients into the melted chocolate and mix until smooth.
  • Step 5: Fill each ramekin 2/3rds full. Bake on the recteq for 15-20 minutes until the cake has risen and the top is firm.

Chef Pairings

Top off each Molten Chocolate Lava Cake with a dusting of powdered sugar, whipped cream, and some berries for a little extra treat. Vanilla ice cream couldn't hurt either!
