  • 1 each Pie Crust
  • 1/2 cup(s) Maple Syrup
  • 4 tablespoon(s) Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup(s) Light Corn Syrup
  • 3 tablespoon(s) Butter
  • 3 each Egg(s)
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cup(s) Pecans, chopped coarse
  • 3 tablespoon(s) Bacon, cooked & chopped coarse
  • 3 tablespoon(s) Bourbon

Tools Needed

  • 9 Inch Pie Pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Step 1: In a 9 inch pie pan, add the pie crust, using your fingers to flute the edges along the top of the pan.
  • Step 2: Preheat recteq to 350°F with a heatproof saucepan inside.
  • Step 3: In the saucepan, combine the maple syrup, brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 4: Remove the liquid and add to a medium sized mixing bowl. Allow it to cool slightly.
  • Step 5: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla, and salt.
  • Step 6: Slowly whisk the maple syrup mixture into the beaten eggs, then add in the chopped pecans and bacon.
  • Step 7: Pour the filling into the crust and bake for 55-60 minutes until the filling is set.
  • Step 8: Allow the pie to cool for 30 minutes before slicing.
