Cook Time: 45 min

Made with fresh, fragrant smoked garlic, our Smoked Garlic Bread recipe is the perfect side for any of our recipes. Pair it with our Over-the-Top Chili for a match made in heaven.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat recteq to 350°F.
  • Step 2: Trim the tops of garlic bulbs 1/4 inch to expose the top of the cloves. Add to a small baking dish and top with some olive oil. Cook until golden brown and soft (about 30-40 minutes).
  • Step 3: In a small bowl, squeeze out the garlic, add the melted butter, Colden's Freakin' Greek Rub and chopped basil. Mix well.
  • Step 4: Cut the sourdough bread across the length of the bread, 1 inch apart, about 2/3rds through the loaf. Be careful not to cut completely through. Rotate the loaf so you can cut back across the loaf to create a diamond pattern of bread cubes.
  • Step 5: Using your hands pull apart the bread diamonds and spoon the melted garlic butter all throughout the loaf, reserve a few tablespoons of butter for the top.
  • Step 6: With a similar process to the garlic butter, pull the bread apart and sprinkle the cheese in between the bread cubes.
  • Step 7: Brush the top of the loaf with the remaining garlic butter, add to the recteq and cook for 25-30 minutes until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
