These crispy beef pita flatbreads are packed with bold Chinese 5 spice flavor, seared on the recteq SmokeStone, and finished with cool homemade Tzatziki and fresh toppings.
Instructions
- Step 1: Burning recteq Ultimate Blend Pellets, preheat your SmokeStone to MED HI.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl add beef, onions, cilantro, garlic, Chinese 5 Spice, and Ron's Screamin' Pig Rub. Mix well.
- Step 3: Place 4 oz ball of beef mixture onto pita and spread it evenly across pita. Place pita meat side down onto SmokeStone. Cook for 5-8 minutes then flip. Cook for another 4-5 minutes to toast bottom of pita.
- Step 4: While pita is cooking, in a medium mixing bowl add yogurt, lime juice, cucumber, oil, garlic, and dill. Whisk well.
- Step 5: Remove pita from SmokeStone, top with tomatoes, pickles, pickled onions, and fresh Tzatziki sauce. Serve!
