This cheesy asparagus casserole combines tender asparagus with a rich blend of melted cheeses, crispy bacon, and buttery cracker topping with a lil' wood fired flavor to top it all off.
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat the recteq to 375ºF. (Chef Tip: Fresh shredded cheese melts way better than pre-bagged cheese.)
- Step 2: First, build the cheese sauce by combining these ingredients in a mixing bowl: Cream cheese, Heavy Cream, 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, Cheddar cheese, Chef Greg's 4 Letter Rub, Parmesan, Salt, Pepper, and Cajun Seasoning. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Step 3: Add asparagus to your casserole dish and pour the cheese mixture over the top. Stir gently to coat evenly. Next, top with the remaining Mozzarella, Crumbled Bacon, and Crushed Ritz Crackers. Drizzle melted butter over the crackers.
- Step 4: Place on the recteq at 375°F for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. For extra swagger, crank the grill to 425°F for the last 5 minutes to crisp the top.
