Outdoor kitchen perfection

Bought this for my outdoor kitchen to replace a RT-700…which I of course kept in the family - my son now has it and has been converted to the recteq family. Great looks, faster to temp than the Bull. First cook yesterday was a pork butt - came out perfect, the grill kept temp as a recteq does…

Extreme quality! You will not be disappointed!!!!

Before I bought the RT-1070, I contacted a long time pellet grill user friend of mine. He has tried many and recommended Reqtec. Operating experience is critical for a purchase such as this. My friend claimed the quality was exceptional and I was not disappointed. After assembly and use, I compared it to a well know brand (Tr$&@£er) who will remain nameless and my friend was right. You could feel the difference in quality. The controls system on this is phenomenal….it easily maintains temperature in a tight band so you can control what you are grilling. I have cooked pork chops, chicken, corn, and jalapeños so far with great success. I am looking forward to more great experiences. Surprisingly there was a missing screw on the pellet bin cover; however, I found the screw in the packing and easily installed. I also could not determine how to actually use the grill with the instructions provided: however, a quick internet search easily located a video on how to “burn in the grill” and use it going forward. Can’t wait to use it again!!!!! Finally, I bought the bundle and a separate cover. Two covers arrived because the bundle includes one but does not state so online….easily returned for a refund….demonstrating customer service is good! Bottom line, Reqtec is an extreme quality product, easy to assemble, and easy to use! I highly recommend it…don’t buy the better known more readily available option (nameless above)….

Wonderful upgrade

After purchasing one of the original pellet smokers second hand 15 years ago I felt it was time to upgrade to newer technology. The new 1070 is amazing and the ability to cook at 200 degrees hotter eliminated the need for a second grill for searing etc.... so far so good!
