Great all around grill

Couldn't be happier with the grill and accessories. The grill worked well doing anything from venison jerky to prime rib, burgers, and steaks. Plan on doing a pork butt and brisket soon.

Perfect Size!

Perfect size for my family of 4. We can make all of our favorites easily on the RT-590, from ribs, to wings, pork butts, chickens, and brisket.

Excellent Pellet Smoker

I prefer an offset smoker but during the Iowa winter months the constant hands on activity of balancing an offset smoker can be unenjoyable in which I tend to not smoke much at all for 3-4 months. A pellet smoker seamed to fit the bill for the winter months. After reviewing a number of other units the Recteq fit the bill for what I was looking for with a combination of features, construction and cost. I have smoked 4 times since purchasing and have had great success.

Impressive quality

This is my 1st pellet grill. I have been using a Masterbuilt gravity 560 with several aftermarket stainless steel parts for over 3 years. The non stainless parts are about to rust through and I needed a replacement. After hearing complaints about the store bought pellet grills from co workers I did not want to go that route. I am more than thrilled with my Recteq. I have used it several times now and covered all the basic meats. It has been rock solid on the settings and temp probes. The build quality is impressive. I have a few suggestions for the future: Hopper dump. Rotisserie option. Taller cart height. Hopper vibrator on a timer or a slick plastic hopper liner insert so the pellets won't get hung up. Or maybe a round hopper like a silo.
