I wasn't sure if I needed to replace it yet but since there was a sale going on, I bought it. Just put it on my grill today. Can't say it will make much of a difference in the end product, but I know it won't hurt.

Coating it was a distinct improvement. Durability is yet to be seen. I have used it 4 or 5 times since I got it and it still has its coating. It appears to withstand high temps effectively and I do not intend to clean it with metal scrubbers, etc.
