Creamy Strawberry French Toast Bake

Here's our favorite berry-packed, overnight breakfast French Toast bread pudding made simple with pre-made cinnamon bread. With just a little bit of prep time, tossed in the fridge to cool, and then cooked on your recteq the next morning, you're going to wow the brunch crowd.

  • 3 cups sliced Strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Confectioners' Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Orange Zest
  • 1 tablespoon Orange Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pound Cinnamon Bread
  • 5 each Large Eggs
  • 1 cup Half & Half
  • 4 cups Whipped Cream

  1. Toss 2 cups of sliced strawberries in a bowl with sugar. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla until smooth. Cut the bread into 1 inch pieces and place in a greased 13" by 9" baking dish. Spoon cream cheese mixture over bread. Layer with strawberry mixture and remaining bread. In another bowl, whisk eggs and half & half until blended; pour over the top of casserole and refrigerate, covered, overnight.
  2. Set grill to 375°F. Remove casserole from refrigerator while grill heats. Bake, uncovered, until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, 40-45 minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Top with whipped cream and remaining strawberries.
