I called Rec Tec told them what grill was doing, they said temp probably went bad and run over and pick up a new one at no charge. I picked it up & installed in a few mins it was good as new. Thanks Rec Tec

Grill wouldn't keep running for more than 20 - 40 minutes at a time. Had to keep restarting it. Turns out that the temp sensor had frayed wires (mostly likely from customer faux pas during assembly). Anyway, Ron walked me through a couple troubleshooting steps and had the replacement part sent right away. Since then, I've been making great food including the some homemade bacon.
Pellet Smoking/Grilling at its Best
Although this is a review for a probe, in actuality this was sent to me free of charge when the original probe got damaged, we think courtesy of an animal intruder.
I have had the RT-680 since July of this year. It continues to amaze both me and all of our guests. We have made brisket, steaks, fish, ribs and chicken and it is always terrific.
I have had plenty of experience smoking briskets on an expensive Weber gas grill. With an enormous amount of effort I had good results. With very little effort, I have cooked great briskets with the RecTec pellet grill. This is the pellet grill to buy. And, the customer service is outstanding.
Perfect replacement part
My other sensor failed and ReTec sent me this replacement part. It was so easy to do, my 4 year old did most of the work. Made an awesome pulled pork butt that same day. Great service!!

New grill and had a temp issue. Talked with Den at 4:00 PM one afternoon and determined it was likely just the probe. By 10:30 the next morning, had an overnight delivery of new probe and new controller. Switch out was pretty easy and solved the problems so all is good in the BBQ world now.

I was having problems with the grill tripping the GFI circuit and showing 32 on the monitor. Replacement part solved the problem.
